My Grandma - (For her 90th b-day)
My Grandma is kinda my idol,
Not just
American but Hungarian, a life filled with virtue and no vice, so very nice to
all she meets, a sweet smile always greets me,
Arriving at veranda court is like entering a spiritual fort,
where my mind body and soul are aligned and I have true peace of mind,
The center of the universe Grandma's is first in my book and boy what a cook!
A chef extraordinaire, chicken paprikash oh gosh, and
don't forget the desert
Grandma doesn't with an appetite like its going out of style,
She epitomizes the love of a grandmother proud of her family she teaches
without teaching showing without explaining, like a Zen master above all the
clatter and chatter of the crazy family she speaks softly, (Well)
One word speaks in a thousand picturesÉ
In her house, gazing at the growth and smiles of an adoring family marrying and
raising children, all in her footsteps a great path to followÉ.
And far from a pushover you better get out your four leaf clover if you think
you can change her mind, like a steel trap she will sap your energy to convince
her otherwise
our wise matriarch and sage
the world could follow her example and take a page from her life..
in my life the memories of youthful scampering about
the beach, sand in our toes, wind gusts bluster, vocal seagulls in chaotic
flights, trying to unfurl the same chaos that hides the sharks teeth beneath
our feet, Grandma's presence is felt like God personifiedÉ.
I truly
feel fortunate and blessed to be blessed with my Grandma.
